Le quotidien en a fait un large écho le samedi 14 février. Parcourant l’article, l’ex-manitou des Oyé s’est constitué en victime. Et pourtant, Simplice Popodonou De Messé Zinsou fut le bourreau du club Vert et rouge. Retour sur les années et les intrigues ZINSOU. « Je n`ai pas quitté l’Africa Sports National. On m’a obligé à partir », ainsi s’est constitué en victime, dans ses relations avec l’Africa Sports National, Simplice Popodonou De Messé Zinsou, ancien président du club créé par Séri Mogador, chassé en 1997 à la suite d’une longue crise dont les effets continuent de plomber les ailes des Aiglons. Mais l’ex-PDG de la société maritime « Sivomar » n’a jamais dit comment et pourquoi lui-même est arrivé à la tête du club vert et rouge.
La vérité sur l’arrivée de Zinsou aux commandes du club de Seri Mogador
Simplice Zinsou devrait comprendre qu’il est parti comme il est venu. Car, c’est lui qui a introduit les coups d’Etat à l’Africa Sports depuis 1977 avec le couple Zinsou-Sempah pour renverser Guy Ayéna, alors président du Comité directeur. Et depuis lors, il s’est emparé des « Aiglons », faisant la pluie et le beau temps. D’où son surnom de grand “manitou”.
Pour la petite histoire, au début des années 70, Simplice Zinsou, alors conseiller de Me Mondon-Konan Julien (ex-président du Stade d’Abidjan et Directeur de l’Office du Développement du Tourisme Africain, ODTA) devient supporter de l’Africa Sports. Il se rapprocha du comité directeur pour être plus proche des joueurs. Mais sa colère commença au stade Géo André (actuel stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny) par une dispute entre lui et le jeune frère de Séri Mogador qui lui aurait dit en substance ceci : « Si tu veux diriger une équipe, va au Bénin ». Zinsou quitta les lieux en larmes. Depuis lors, il promit de se venger et montrer que sans lui l’Africa ne serait rien. C’est donc après le sacre du Sporting Club de Gagnoa au championnat de Côte d’Ivoire en 1976, le premier club de l’intérieur à s’octroyer le titre de champion, que tout a commencé. L’Africa Sports étant en cette période en majorité supporté par le groupe ethnique Bété, et vu qu’un club Bété (Sporting) devrait jouer le championnat d’Afrique des clubs, des joueurs devraient être prêtés à l’équipe bleu et jaune par l’Africa Sports. Ce qui entraîna une certaine division entre les supporters du grand rival de l’Asec d’Abidjan. Lébry Manawa Jérôme, Cissé Aliou (Sam Turay) et Miézan Pascal étaient alors le trio magique et de charme de l’attaque des Aiglons. Le malheur de l’Africa Sports commença l’année suivante, 1977. Alors que les Oyés traversaient des difficultés financières, Simplice Zinsou et Louis Sempah organisèrent un coup d’Etat réussi contre le Comité directeur de Guy Ayéna. Des deux hommes, Zinsou avait la caution de son gendre Félix Houphouët-Boigny, Président de la République de Côte d’Ivoire. Houphouët, après les événements de 1970 dans le Guébié (Gagnoa), voulait contrôler les Bété à travers l’Africa Sports qu’ils supportaient en masse. Nanan Boigny donna à son beau-fils les moyens sans compter pour pallier les difficultés financières du Club sportif Bété. Zinsou vînt alors avec ces gros moyens de son gendre et les cotisations des membres cessèrent. Commença alors l’ère Zinsou qui dirigea les Oyé avec une main de fer. Il faisait et défaisait les présidents des comités directeurs de l’Africa Sports National.
La vengeance de Zinsou et la naissance de la mafia vert et rouge
Après 7 années (en 1985) de pouvoir sans partage avec à la clé une gestion opaque, les Oyé demandent le départ de Simplice Popodonou De Messé Zinsou. Il part alors avec tous les biens de l’Africa, acquis sous sa direction. Même les moquettes du siège ne lui échappaient pas. Sa vengeance venait de commencer. Blé Lucien succède alors au PDG de Sivomar. Mais que de crocs en jambes. Zinsou, tout puissant gendre d’Houphouët, menace Blé Lucien, alors directeur d’une agence de banque, avec un audit de sa gestion de cette agence. Blé finit par rendre le tablier. Puis arrive Charles Légré, en 1987. Mais la rage de nuire au Club vert et rouge de Zinsou qui payait des joueurs pour perdre des matches l’oblige lui aussi à rendre le tablier. Sidibé Moussa lui succède. Mais il vit les coups bas de la mafia organisée et parrainée par Simplice Zinsou. Et Popodonou revient aux commandes en 1989, dans la même période que Me Roger Ouégnin à l’ASEC d’Abidjan. Mais il met aux devants de la scène Méité Yaya et Koné Tiémikri qui remporte la Coupe des vainqueurs de coupes en 1992. La marée Zinsou s’éleva contre eux aussi en les accusant de détournement de fonds (une histoire de 100 millions d’Houphouët-Boigny) et de vente de tee-shirts parallèles pendant la campagne africaine de 1992. Zinsou reprend tout en main. Mais il a oublié qu’il avait, entre temps, formé une mafia qui allait le chasser à son tour.
La source de financement de Zinsou a tari
Quand Zinsou allait voir le Président Houphouët-Boigny, il demandait au nom du club des Bété et le « Vieux » donnait sans compter. Malheureusement, le père fondateur de la Côte d’Ivoire moderne, le Président Félix Houphouët-Boigny, est arraché à l’affection de son peuple. Il décède en 1993. Du coup, en 1994, après l’enterrement du père de la Nation, Simplice Popodonou De Messé Zinsou annonce qu’il ne peut plus être au premier plan de la gestion du club des Aiglons. « Je me retire sur la colline », avait-il dit. Mais sans oublier de se faire remplacer par son homme de main, Doré Lacina. En réalité, sa source de financement venait de tarir. Et il voulait le cacher par son retrait. Doré aura le malheur de refuser de jouer les marionnettes dans l’affaire du transfert de Gabriel Okolossi. Zinsou avait réclamé 80 millions sur les 88 qu’a coûté le transfert du joueur à Doré. Celui-ci les lui remit. Mais il prit soin d’informer le Comité de Gestion qu’il dirigeait. Ce fut cette divulgation de l’information qui souleva le courroux du « manitou » Zinsou. Car, Popodonou voulait cet argent sans que personne ne soit au courant. Le conflit Zinsou-Doré était alors ouvert. Et le 18 février 1996, à l’Hôtel Sofitel, Zinsou traita Doré, Kaba Koné, Koné Tiémikri et tous les autres comme de vulgaires gamins ingrats. Bien sur, il avait pris soin de verrouiller tous les accès au lieu de l’Assemblée générale à tous ses opposants avec un impressionnant dispositif de policiers. Humiliés et bafoués, Doré et ses compagnons quittèrent l’Hôtel Sofitel. Zinsou nomma séance tenante Sidibé Moussa. Il ne fit qu’une saison pour, à son tour, refuser les avances du marionnettiste Zinsou. Il démissionna et Zinsou revint au pouvoir.
Le phénomène « Kabila »
Après l’humiliation du 18 février 1996, de nombreux membres de la famille Vert et rouge entrèrent en rébellion contre Zinsou. Ce mouvement anti-Zinsou s’appelait « Kabila », comme Désiré Kabila en RDC. Ils usèrent de toutes les méthodes apprises auprès de Zinsou pour combattre Zinsou. Et le proverbe se vérifia : « Qui tue par l’épée, périt par l’épée ». Zinsou fut alors poussé jusque dans son dernier retranchement. Le 7 septembre 1997, il adressa une lettre de démission « volontaire » aux membres d’honneur. Ceux-là mêmes dont il refuse l’existence et les actions pour l’Africa et que sa lettre réhabilitent. Lettre qui fut largement diffusée par la presse. Les membres d’honneur choisissent en leur sein un des leurs. Koffi N’Guessan Pierre conduit alors une transition qui ramena Doré Lacina à la direction de la grande famille des Oyé. Voilà la grande vérité sur ce que Zinsou appelle “On m’a obligé à partir”.
Entre Zinsou et l’Africa, qui a fait qui ?
« Pendant cette période difficile, j`ai vu apparaître des présidents d`honneur, des gens qui sont sortis subitement comme des nénuphars. Des gens qui n’ont rien fait, qui n’ont jamais acheté un ballon, un maillot, qui n’ont jamais acheté un brancard, et ils apparaissent là pour jouer les conseillers », a ajouté Simplice Zinsou. Rejetant du coup l’existence des membres d’honneur et leurs actions en faveur du club. Mais au fait, les grandes questions auxquelles Zinsou devrait répondre sont: quel patrimoine Zinsou, celui-là même qui se disait avoir beaucoup de moyens financiers, a-t-il laissé à l’Africa ? Un club qu’il dit tant aimer et pour lequel il aurait tout sacrifié ? Pourquoi à chaque départ de Zinsou, il partait avec tous les acquis et autres biens de l’Africa, jetant ainsi cette « femme » qu’il dit tant aimer dans la rue, toute nue ? Il a en son temps appelé Me Roger Ouégnin « apprenti dirigeant ». Mais aujourd’hui peut-il se comparer à cet apprenti dirigeant en matière de lauriers et de construction de club ? Zinsou peut-il dire qu’aucun membre d’honneur ne lui a jamais donné sa contribution sous le couvert de l’anonymat ? Peut-il en âme et conscience nier les actions de Charles Bauza Donwahi, Louis Sempah, Koffi N’Guessan Pierre, Me Checkna Sylla, Philippe Yacé, le Président Bédié (qu’ils souffrent que leur désir d’anonymat soit mis à rude épreuve pour l’éclatement de la vérité)? Pour ne citer que ceux-là. Zinsou peut-il honnêtement dire entre lui et l’Africa Sports qui a réellement construit qui, qui a enrichi qui? De tous les PDG de sociétés maritimes de son ère, qui était le plus connu et grâce à qui ? Peut-il donner la preuve contraire de ce qu’il recevait 12 millions par mois de la société pétrolière TEXACO et ne reversait qu’entre 5 et 6 millions, selon ses humeurs, à l’Africa ? Aujourd’hui, le rival éternel de l’Africa, l’Asec d’Abidjan est une industrie, un club à l’image des clubs européens, quand les Oyé n’ont aucun patrimoine.
