Le mardi 28 août dernier 2018 , l’organe de gestion du Basketball Africain, FIBA Afrique a annoncé la réception de son nouveau siège à Abidjan, la capitale Ivoirienne. Le nouveau joyau sera opérationnel à la mi-décembre de cette année.
Actuellement basé au Caire, en Egypte, le siège sera donc délocalisé en terre Ivoirienne.
Notons qu’en plus de cette fédération qui vient siéger en territoire Ivoirien, la Côte d’Ivoire abrite également d’autres sièges de fédérations continentales et internationales, tels que la Confédération Africaine d’Handball (CAHB) et la fédération Internationale de Maracana et Associations (FIMAA).
